How to monitor my upsell performance

Vanga works on autopilot, so we know how important it is to you to have a clear idea of her performance.

To see how Vanga's upsells are doing, simply go to the Analytics tab.

Currently, you can monitor four key metrics about your post-purchase upsells for a time period you can select from the date range at the top right corner of your Analytics page:

  • Generated revenue
  • Average conversion rate
  • Offers shown
  • Successful offers
  • Top upsells

Generated revenue
This is the total amount that Vanga generated with the upsells. The revenue doesn't show the total generated by your store or the orders that have upsells. This is the bonus profit you made with Vanga purely from her post-purchase upsells.

Average conversion rate
This is the success rate of your upsells. When your store displays upsells for the first order made after Vanga is installed, and one of the two upsell offers gets accepted by the customer, you will see a 50% conversion rate. As your orders pile up, your conversion rate will vary.

Offers shown
This is the total number of upsells that Vanga has displayed to your customers.

Successful offers
This is the total number of upsells accepted by customers. The number here is what forms your conversion rate.

Top upsells
This is the list of best-selling products that Vanga has managed to sell the most with her post-purchase upsells. You can monitor their individual conversion rate and revenue they generated for your store.

What to do with this data?
The more Vanga learns about your customers, the more these metrics will improve in your store. If you're struggling with low conversion rates, remember that Vanga's learning phase lasts for the first 100 successful upsells. Until then, she's taking her time to experiment and understand your shopper's behavior.

If you'd like to take action, you can think about improving the way your products look. Better product images and more compelling descriptions can work miracles for improving your overall conversion rate. Remember that Vanga uses what you already have, so if your product presentation improves, so will the number of successful upsells.
